How cool would it be if the movie theater came to you instead of it being the other way round? And by that I mean not just to your home, but to your head! Being able to watch movies in your dreams would be epic!
First of all, you don't have to restrict yourself to 3D. You can see, hear, smell, touch and (in some cases) taste what the heat of the moment is supposed to feel like.
You could change perspectives whenever you wanted to. You not longer have to watch Neo fly, you can BE Neo! You could choose to either passively watch the movie as Neo himself or change the plot as you please, giving rise to a whole new brand of creativity. Consequently this would also give rise to a whole new brand of gaming. Who needs controllers when you can be the character you're playing?
Link up this system to the internet, and you could be meeting people in your dreams. Distance doesn't have to separate you from anything or anyone. No more personal hygiene issues. You won't have to shell out money to buy clothes, they'l turn into apps you can buy for your avatar. No more plastic surgeries, your avatar will be whatever you want it to be.
No more physical ailments, even differently-abled people can dream. They don't have to play the sh***y cards that were dealt to them by life.
But unfortunately, behind every revolutionary technology, there will be power/money hungry evil business dudes/machines who will turn it into what you seen in movies like the The Matrix, Gamer and (I guess I'm obliged to quote this one even though I don't approve of it) Inception.
